You can also connect the I

C interface to a SATA backplane enclo-

sure which includes Areca CPLD decoder controller on the back-

plane. This can reduce the number of activity LED and/or fault

LED cables. The I

C interface can also cascade to another SATA

backplane enclosure for the additional channel status display.
